This new event will be staged at Margaret River’s newest cellar door and features three outstanding chefs with a shared love of Latin American cuisine. Former punk and DJ Alex Atala is a hunter/gatherer who fuses fine dining with wild ingredients from the Amazon at his Brazilian dining room D.O.M., listed at No.16 in the World’s Best Restaurants 2017 list. Alex is joined by Elvis Abrahanowicz and Ben Milgate, owner-chefs of Sydney’s award winning Argentinian barbecue restaurant, Porteno. Enjoy a banquet of fine Latin flavours prepared by Alex, Elvis and Ben, joined by longstanding Margaret River chef Rhys Passmore (Supper Road, The Goose), matched to fine Larry Cherubino wines. Larry is one of Western Australia’s most prolific winemakers, sourcing fruit for six regionally specific ranges from his own vineyards and trusted growers around the State. Awarded Winery of the Year by James Halliday in 2011 and most recently, James Halliday’s Best Value Winery of the Year 2017. One of the Oz wine industry’s highest honours, this award recognises producers whose portfolio delivers outstanding wines and great value for money.
