Margaret River's founding wine estate, Vasse Felix is currently celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. Estate founder Dr Tom Cullity had a local reputation for his inventive and resourceful ideas when pioneering viticulture and winemaking in the region. Vasse Felix's award-winning wines and restaurant remain known for their unique fusion of innovation and heritage. To celebrate the inventive spirit, Barbados-born chef Paul Carmichael, executive chef at Sydney’s Momofuku Seiobo, will join with Vasse Felix Head Chef Brendan Pratt for a cutting-edge five course degustation with wines, set to be full of intrigue. Paul is passionate about preserving tradition and bringing people together over food. At Momofuku Seiobo, named 2016 Gourmet Traveller Restaurant of the Year, he has garnered a reputation for experimenting with native Australian ingredients to discover, learn and celebrate new flavours. This event is part of Margaret River Gourmet Escape.
